L'inspiration de ce carré provient du moment historique durant lequel Le roi Ferdinand VII d'Espagne rejoignit la France, en 1808, dans cette berline de voyage. L'originalité de la roue arrière de ce carrosse, d'un très grand format, fait toute son originalité. Cette berline est aujourd'hui conservée au musée de l'automobile de Compiègne.
